Special Apperance with Jo Callis – Saturday May 7th

FH Single Launch 528

You’ll remember that back last May, we were extremely honoured to welcome Jo Callis, of Rezillos and Human League fame to open for us with his new band Fingerhalo.

It now gives us great pleasure to announce that on Saturday 7th May we get to return the favour at a very special one-off event at The Citrus Club in Edinburgh. As part of the launch party for their debut single One For The Angels, Jo and the Fingerhalo boys have very kindly asked us, along other friends and collaborators, to help curate a special show which celebrates both Jo’s sizeable contribution to the music we know and love and the music that inspired him.

Our contribution to the night will take the form of a special one-off set focusing on Jo’s work with The Human League. Not only that, we’ll also be taking the opportunity to tip our hat in the direction of much missed producer Martin Rushent, who together with Jo crafted not only the League’s finest moments but some of the finest records ever made. You’ve heard us do Human League songs before, but rest assured we have something very special up our sleeves for this night and we’ll be pulling out all the stops to make sure it’s something that no Human League fan will want to miss.

As well as a headline set from Jo and his band, the night also includes sets from The Nanobots (featuring Rezillos guitarist Jim Brady) and Shock and Awe.

So whilst a little different from your average Party Fears Three show, we hope many of you will be able to come and join us for this one-off, back to basics good old fashioned night of damned good music. Tickets are available now via Tickets Scotland and we do suggest you move quickly on this as demand is expected to be high.
